What a cluster fuck that would be. It might result in a few more wins this year because Iverson would at least be able to create his own shot.

What a retarded move that would be. It would stunt everyone's growth for another year. Talk about bad attitude and black hole. Once the ball is in AI's hand no one else is touching it. It will be chucked up up somehow, some way. I have, unfortunately seen him play as 76er way too many times. We wasn't good then, and now he sure ain't any better. Just a volume shooter is all he is. No defense, no teamwork. It would be a very bad move.

10 games into the season it would be a sign of desperation. That doesn't sound like Walsh or D'Antoni but it sure has James Dolan written all over it.

While we're at it, let's try to wrangle Stephen Jackson away from Charlotte.

I hope you are talking as a spectator and not as a player. Even then I say ban him from MSG and keep him away from all the interns.

Indeed the interest seems genuine. sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4664550My thought is wait till after next summer and if he is still on the table make a deal for Monta Ellis. He's a fit for the system and if we are going to go for a short shooting guard let's skip past Iverson and even Nate and go to a guy who can fill it up.

While Iverson would be a mistake for all the reasons mentioned, I think if I were a season ticket holder I would appreciate the team making a move to improve the mess I'm paying big money to watch. Jeez, this team hasn't even gone to the west coast yet, or made the Texas trip. It's going to get even uglier than it is now. He'll mostly be taking playing time away from other players that are going to be free agents, and any of the younger players like Wilson Chandler who might lose minutes have brought it upon themselves by playing so badly. Hoist up another brick, Wilson. Oh look, Danilo's wide open. Oh that's right you need to get your points.

I'm torn concerning Iverson. Part of me wants the Knicks to sign Iverson to make the season more intresting or entertaining. He would become our best player, and help us win a few more games. As stated above he wouldnt take playing time from the youngsters; these being Gallo, Douglas, Hill, and the dissapointing Chandler. However, I do see the negatives. Iverson is a selfish person and player. He would just be another toxic piece on an already toxic roster. If the Knicks still owned their draft pick I would say dont sign him, and tank the season. As rxmeister stated above, if the Knicks do sign him it will be for entertainment value for the fans.

Mercury:
I have a feeling the Knicks will sign AI. Not saying its right or not, however, desperation is setting in and I believe Dolan will make this push.

It will also make it easier to throw Duhon in a contract dumping trade.
