Wow even when we are trying to do something different and reform we are the butt of Disney movies now.
This is from the Disney/Pixar movie SOUL. Otherwise good movie but damn they didn't have to do us like that π

Maybe a new low FOR US. Disney is just doing an easy joke. Browns have gotten better. Just leaves us. Two more trashy seasons and the Pope will be clowning us. I can't say we don't deserve it. But I'll be happy when we see some light.

Allegedly the guy who included the joke is acting like he's a diehard Knicks fan after the fact. Yeah ok. Just gets corny with all the LOL Knicks stuff. The Cubs didn't win for a century before they did a couple of years ago. Same with the Red Sox over a decade and change ago after the drought since the Babe left.

The Jets are a bigger joke than the Knicks and both are behind the Cowboys because their supporters actually think they are a championship caliber team. π
I did some research and one of the writers for Soul is from Brooklyn. πππ

It's because the Dolan era has been about a franchise that has been a genuine piece o' shyte while residing in the greatest city on Earth, absent a 100 games or so. Just a guess but how many great Knicks games have there been, meaning great and relevant? And by relevant I mean a conference Finals? It requires a real "splitting" psychologically speaking to tolerate a loser franchise in a reputedly winning city. So when we get clowned as a franchise it's because we haven't lived up to the reputation the City has earned.

And unlike Dallas our fanbase may not believe we are a championship team But that may be because we are obviously out of championship contention before a season even starts. And worse, many knicks fans still believe every prime time player wants to play for the knicks. Just a different form of delusion from cowboy fans..

Like I said on Facebook, Knicks fans can insult the Knicks all they want amongst themselves, but we should defend our guys against all outside attacks. The dude who wrote the joke here claims to be a lifelong Knicks fan but he broke the rules and needs to be ostracized by Knicks fans because he gives fodder to all the Knicks haters out there for a cheap laugh at our expense. The thought of Max Kellerman or someone like that seeing that and laughing pisses me off!

Naw I'll stick to defending my sanity for remaining a Knickerbockers fan.

The thought of Max Kellerman or someone like that seeing that and laughing pisses me off! We ARE a laughingstock and have richly earned the ridicule. We've been chewing up coaches and GMs for twenty years, handing out ridiculous contract after ridiculous contract, and have been ignored by superstars. If the dysfunction ever stops and we put a team out there that has a winning percentage, the mocking and the irrelevance will also stop. We obviously remain a poor destination and we're still years away from being a conference finalist. Anything short of that is <nice> but ultimately unsatisfying because NYC has the reputation of being a winner/greatest city in the world. Other than the Yankees what has the City yielded lately? Giants since their last Superbowl have done little to nothing. The Jets are horrible, Mets came close about 5 years ago. Rangers kind of <meh>. Nets may do something this year. They're as New York as the other teams, though I understand the animus here against them as they are rivals of the Knicks. Still, they are indeed a New York team and could bring some shine this season. Clyde was mentioning last night how much he'd like to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first of the two titles but for Covid. Fifty years, my fellow Knicks fans. Think about that.

I suppose Anucha Brown Saunders was Snidely Whiplash for you?Β Even weirder how you drew that conclusion and single handily took a light conversation about Disney dissing the Knicks to me defending Dolan and his handling of the Anucha Brown Saunders incident. On second thought not so weird. π Canβt wait for your post on how Jimmy Dolan is responsible for COVID-19, global warming and foreign interference of our elective process. π
