I hope everyone who has issues with Rubio watches the whole 10 minute video. Wow!!!
Here is what I gleaned from the video keeping in mind he plays against top flight Euro and International competition.
Great ballhandling skills. Keeps his head up and uses his dribbling ability along with great hesitation moves to penetrate. He handles himself so well in traffic. He can finish with either hand, elevate to dunk with one or two hands and he has that ability to turn the corner on guys and then extend to the basket. He's not super quick but he's quick enough. Does a pretty funky around the back one handed crossover move where he goes around his back with the ball using his right hand and then across the front of his body and back to his right hand again. Watch carefully. He does it at least twice.
Uses those long arms and hand quickness to steal off the dribble and get in the passing lanes. A wonderfully instinctive passer. Maybe a little too much mustard on this hot dog but he see's everyone and he makes the easy pass along with the more difficult ones with no effort.
Jump shot was better than I thought but his follow through needs some refining. Gets to the basket a lot and has a nice fallback jumper that he kisses off the glass. Great finisher and stronger than he looks. He took a few big hits and still finished the play. Based on Euro play he would be a great choice but he played against the USA twice and he doesn't back down. Didn't shoot as much against the USA but he still showed his stuff.
He's 18. ; )

Yes he's a bit of a hotdog hotdog but if you get him in the open court he'd light up the Garden fans. Also very good pick and roll player.

I am officially on the Rubio bandwagon. This kid is NBA ready, and he is Pistol Pete with the extraordinary court vision, better defense, and he will command double-teams from every other NBA teams. I am converted to Rubioism. We must get this kid, even at the price of Wilson Chandler.
