The Shaq to Cleveland talks seem to get more intense as the days go. Just read on RealGM that according to a source Lebron is excited about the possibility of playing with Shaq. However, Shaq reportedly has demands and those are a two year contract extension and the assurance that Lebron will be a Cav for the next three seasons. Now I fully understand that a deal is far from being reached (atleast I think). From what has been reported Phoenix will not just let Shaq go for the sake of saving money, and reportedly Ben Wallace's expiring deal has been the chip that Cleveland is trying to push. I have heard the Suns have interest in Delonte West but the Cavs were unwilling to deal him last winter. But with Clevelands premature ending it makes you wonder if that stance has changed? Could Shaq potentially derail any chance we have next summer at LBJ? If these reports come to fusion, it sure sounds like it.

I doubt it. Shaq is old and far from the player he once was. His team couldnt even make the playoffs this year. Anyways Shaq dosent have a no trade claus and cant dictate the varibles of any trade. The Knicks should try pick pick up Shaq for the season. He will get us into the playoffs, and take the sting out of losing a lottery pick. We can offer Mobleys contract which is 80% insuranced covered along with QRich and his expiring deal. However, I dont think Shaq will have any kind of impact on what LeBron decides to do concerning his free agency.

I'd agree with Mercury. Shaq has a very inflated view of his impact and input. I am sure LeBron would love to play with Shaq but he won't pin his career on a jackass. ; )
