What do you guys think of Richard Hamilton? If the Knicks traded for him would he be able to help the team? Hamilton seems to be a great fit for the run and gun style, and has the deadly shot to match. The pistons are retooling their team, and maybe look to shake things up. A trade could be Sign and trade D Lee and Mobleys insured contract to the pistons for Hamilton and Amir Johnson. If the Knicks were going to trade Lee this is a trade that would help the team. To add, Hamilton has only 1 year left on contract, meaning even if he expires we can still have the cap room to sign freeagents. Then be able to sign Hamilton after, since the knicks have hiS rights. Amir johson is also on his last year .

I believe Rip signed an extension before this past season didnt he? After Chauncey Billups was dealt speculation started that Rip would had never signed the extension if he knew Billups would be gone soon after. Just checked RealGM, he has four years remaining. I would say if not for the extension it probably would be just one more year. But yes, I think Rip would do fantastic in D's system.

I agree Rip would be great with the Knicks but he is 31 years old. That's not ancient but as a key player I'd prefer to see looking at younger guys.
