Just read on RealGM that Tisdale passed away this morning after a two year battle with cancer. I really hate to hear this. I believe it was earlier this season that one of the networks did a piece on him, Inside the NBA if I am remembering right. Seemed like he was doing very well and was in good spirits. I was also thrilled to learn that he was pursuing music. I still plan to check out his album. RIP Wayman.

That's so sad...he was great in college and good as a pro. Always had a good attitude. 44 is just way too young. RIP

Carpe Diem my friends. You just never know what will happen so seize the moment, seize the hour, seize the day and seize your life.
This would be wasted advice for Wayman Tisdale who embraced life always to it's fullest. He's playing lead now in the Big Band but to his family and friends still here I offer my condolences and best wishes.

My deepest sympathies to his family and friends. He belongs in the Hall of Fame for being a class act. It was good to see he had a successful career as a jazz bassist after he retired; not all former players have such other avenues available to them. RIP, big guy.
