The following was said at the press conference to introduce Larry Riley as Golden States new GM:
"We've been to the playoffs one time in the last five years, and that's not acceptable," team president Robert Rowell said, referring to Mullin's time with the club. "Our fans deserve better than that, and we deserve the opportunity to get out there and win basketball games. And we're going to do that.
Is he seriously singling out Mullin's tenure? Doesnt it go way beyond that? Wasnt 07 the first time the Warriors made the playoffs since 94?? True, if you dont make the playoffs you have no chance at the crown. But even as a Knicks fan I will say that Warriors basketball has been in a much better state under Mullin's watch. Yes, the club had a disasterous season again this year but did have many issues. And lets not forget to mention that the club had a 48-34 record in 08, but due to the highle competitive west missed the 8th spot. Whats sad is that in the east the 8th seed actually had a losing record. Ah well, why should I really even care I guess.

Riley is one of Nellie's stooges. nice loyalty after Mullin brought nellie back to GS. Nellie is a real piece of work.
