Bird probably shouldn't consider NY but he is a free agent and made just under a million dollars last year.

Chris Anderson, aka The Birdman, a 6'10 PF/C for the Denver Nuggets. He's a flake, very limited plus he missed a year because of PEDs but he can board and block shots and he is like the Energizer Bunny on the court. In 22mp in the playoffs he averaged 7.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 1.8 bpg while shooting 75% from the field which means just layups and dunks. During the regular season he averaged 20mpg, 6.4 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 2.5 bpg and shot 55% from the field and almost 72% from the FT line. He has a goofy do too. Here is the link to his NBA info page: www.nba.com/playerfile/chris_andersen/career_stats.html

I think it's a love-fest with he and George Karl, the Nuggets took the chance with him and it's paying off.
I don't see MSG and Walsh going for a wildcard like him. plus the temptations of NYC might break him.
Nice fun to watch player though great spirit and he's making a big difference turning Denver into something real.
I think he stays in Denver

I think Birdman stays in Denver too. I also think he is a one trick pony and he's a time bomb type personality.
I agree he is fun to watch though. ; )

I agree he is fun to watch though. ; ) He is a 1 trick pony but we sure need that trick. We played 19,805 minutes and blocked 205 shots. Birdman played 1,460 minutes and blocked 175 shots. If we increase our blocked shots by F I F T Y percent we would still be the W O R S T shotblocking team in the league

Aside from Thabeet in the draft I see no relief there. Lots of PGs and SGs though. ; ) The Hornets seem determined to trade Tyson Chandler and now Samuel Dalembert is making noises like he wants to leave Philly. Both would give us exactly what we need but both are costly and Chandler is injury prone. I still like JaVale McGee of the Wizards as a project and I still hold out hope on Saer Sene and even Eddy Curry. This all goes back to David Lee. The only way I see we can keep him is if his price is reasonable and if we get him some help behind him and let him play PF exclusively. Otherwise we should trade him for a good player and a pick. I'm leaning towards trading only because the chances of adding a premier defensive center are slim.

The Birdman has a history of using illegal drugs. NYC is NOT the right place for him as a human being.
