when asked about whether they could sign top free agents as bad as they are, Chris Bosh said, "Yes. It's all about the pieces that you have. As long as you have a good organization and a hard working GM, things can get better." He was then asked if he would sign with the Nets if they offered him a contract next year. "Nah. Not me!!" By the way, has anyone noticed that there's a giant billboard of Lebron James by Nike right next to Madison Square Garden? I notice he's wearing a number 23 shirt but it's not a Cleveland Cavalier shirt. Does Nike know something we don't?

That's hilarious that he stated Nah not me, lol. The fact is although Brooklyn sounds nice and all they will always be second fiddle to the worlds most famous arena. That arena design looks like a barn instead of the beautiful landscape design they had before. The fact they are going to raise taxes for poor Brooklyn residents and cause more congestion than that city can handle and yet NYC is cutting train lines and bus lines and city workers, you have to wonder how the hell could they build this stadium for a losing team when the city and state have barely any money.
That alone should have net go to Connecticut or something where they may want a team or virginia or Baltimore. They states and city respectively would love a basketball team and yes Brooklyn would too but at what cost. Its dumb all-around.

I'm dead against putting the Nets in that part of Brooklyn, all that immanent domain bs, horror show. that said, if the Nets do go to Brooklyn under the right circumstances I can easily see them eclipsing the knicks in popularity. All it takes is one generation (10 or less years) of one team being very good and the other bad. I think we just saw that with the J-Kidd Nets and the Starturkey Knicks. We area lucky the Nets were not in Brooklyn because it already would have happened. There are so few young fans that remember a good knick team and NO young fans that remember the championships unless you call me young..thanks!
Brooklyn is a more family oriented residential borough than manhattan, it's got more organic life and soul than Manhattan, and I'm a Manhattanite. As long as there are enough people in Brooklyn with the Cash to pay for tix I can see the Nets being the people's team (kind of like the Mets were once upon a time).
That all said, I thinks the nets should go else-where like New Haven or Newark, and of course I hope the Knicks get Lebron and rise to live up to it's storied lore or yore.
