anyone see the papers today where Walsh was asked about missing on Brandon Jennings and he pretty much says " I could have hired amazing scouts, but I couldn't ask Dolan to eat more contracts, the holdovers from the isaih regime.
wow pretty damning, angry finger pointing stuff. it seems as though although walsh is completely running the hoops operation he is timid about asking dolan to fire scouts and office-folk?
and wasn't Isaih supposed to be scouting last year?

I heard Jennings had a great workout for the Knicks. He went against Tyreke Evans and played very well. It seems the Knicks wanted only Rubio and Curry at gaurd, once they were gone they looked to a bigman. Ironically Jennings might be better than Rubio and Curry. But this is how the draft goes. We shouldnt feel that bad. Choosing Oden over Durant must be painful.

Its amazes me because Jenings wasnt an unknown commodity. He played several High School All-star games prior to bolting for Europe, instead of going to Collerge for a year. On this board I described him as a great passing PG with great court vision that was quick and could penetrate and dish in the paint. He also needed a lot of work on his outside shot, often made unforced turnovers trying to thread the needle, and was somewhat of a headcase. I would be amazed if this wasnt known by scouts and all info on this guy went into a black hole when he went to Europe!. I also stated that big man Brook (not Robin) Lopez was going to make a big splash in the NBA and that Taj Gibson was someone worth acquiring with a low first round darft pick. I also believe that the Knicks' Hill will become a good NBA player, if not stifled on the bench. This guy is a late bloomer, having only 5 years of playing BBall but improved each of his 3 years at U of Arizona to become one of the top players in the PAc-10. Gary

I agree with you Gary Hill has a nice shot and he has quick reactions to block shots,I also think he can turnout into a real good player, but that hair has to go LOL,there have been alot of big men that take a little longer to be special.
