I just recently started a thread about how slow things have been here and it seems I am not doing a lot to stimulate discussion myself.
On Tuesday, April 14th I had a doctor's visit going over some long standing issues. When they took my blood pressure it was through the roof, very much in stroke territory, and immediately I had to lay down while they administered a drug to bring it down. I was there over 2 hours and they almost transported me to the hospital though distance and the fact that I was surrounded by doctors, nurses and medical equipment made them keep me there.
I'm on BP medicine so I wasn't sure till later why my BP was so high but putting 2 and 2 together it was the first Tuesday after Easter and I am 54 years old. That wouldn't be such a big deal but my father died of a heart attack the first Tuesday after Easter in 1986 and he was 54 years old.
So I am on some heavy duty meds that make me feel like my head is in quicksand. I sleep a lot. I don't spend a lot of time around the computer. Thank goodness we just put a TV in our bedroom (we switched the old one to the spare bedroom when we moved my office out of there) so I could relax with something to do. I'll be on these meds another 2 weeks and then they will switch me to something milder. Till then my appearances here may be spotty. I'm not going anywhere and I do have a laptop and a wireless network so I can lay down in my bedroom and post.
Carry on. There are things to discuss that are interesting like the playoffs, the draft, Chris Mullin as the GM and so on.
