I saw that posted as a news story on REAL GM and it bothered me.
Rumors are not NEWS STORIES..even when mark berman or alan hahn want to collect paychecks publishing blog-like discussions.
"there is a rumor that the knicks might want T-Mac" and that "they have wanted him since the summer". "there is another rumor that T_mac had an alleged shouting match with Coach Adelman" (denied of course). We have discussed why dumping Curry on Houston and taking on T_Mac (today's bad-Penny Hardaway) could help our cap, we know that..but does Houston want Curry, do we want to keep Curry who's showing signs..?
All interesting rumory-like things but not news.
One thing we have learned is that Walsh's moves are not predictable. We did not see the Zach trade coming, nor the Craw trade, nor the signing of Darko, drafting of Hill etc.
We spent the summer obsessing about Sessions, waiting for a Rubio trade, Nate was gone, Lee was gone, but not one of the hot rumors came to be. New York tabloid rumors are good to fill imaginations and discussion boards, newspaper space but are not reality with Donnie's knicks.
I wish Hahn, Berman and their ilk could distinguish between their blogs and their news columns
