The whole Iverson situation has been a ploy by Walsh. He flirted with Iverson in order to reject him. He wanted to show the Knicks are a new type of organization that dosent chase after has beens and left overs. This is good. When teams deal with us they will know we play hardball and want value. Walsh is a pros pro. He wouldnt have started the whole Iverson situation if he was not going to sign him in the first place. Walsh also bought Dantoni a season of losing; in essence Walsh is taking the blame for not signing Iverson by proclaiming we dont want to stunt the growth of the youngsters. Walsh is a propagandist and doing a good job. Be patient the Knicks will be back soon, we suffered the whole decade whats antoher 71 games.

I think Dolan (who is allegedly not involved with Donnie's decisions)
said "blame it on me", to help Donnie keep his nose clean with the agents.

Obviously in the last 2 days Donnie heard something from Iverson land that turned his stomach.

If you're right about Walsh, then he's a bigger idiot than I feared. Iverson shares the same agent as Lebron James, and I seriously doubt that Walsh would screw with Iverson to make a point to Knicks' fans. I think his interest in Iverson was legit, but Dolan stepped in here and told him not to do it. It's also possible that Walsh changed his mind after winning one game where Eddy Curry played well, but the scenario you suggest here is pretty far fetched.

Scary this week, Knicks front office was reminding of the follies by the NY METS front office this season,
which of course reminded me of ...err...emm...the knicks, right I almost forgot,

Nice game today but almost only counts in horseshoes and grenades.
