I dunno Iron, they arguments vs AI because he's a "volume shooter" don't hold weight or volume to me. Next year when we sign some free agents be they LBJ Wade, Bosch Dirk J Johnson all those guys are volume shooters as well, it's not like any of our youngsters are going to be looked upon as primary scoring threats.

Well now after the whole world knows we spurned A.I. he might say no if asked to come play a week later so i think we should forget that endeavor.
Although at the vets minimum of 1.4 for one year as a fan it would have made no difference. Why this heavy confidence in Duhon is beyond me?

what is that logic jason? we shouldn't make an offer to AI (which seems moot anyways) because he might say no? yikes.

Mouse.........
Im in total agreement in that we should have just signed him as it would have been no worse than we are now by doing it.
Why i say we should forget it is because he all but thought we were going to offer him a deal, tells his confidants and TV personalities he wants to be here as clearly no one wants to add him to his roster, and then we go ahead and streamline this stupid notion that we need to allow Nate and Duhon more room to grow.
So, since its been reported that he is upset that we scorned him before we even offered a contract to him, why would u think he'd say yes now?
If someone said they would be better off without me I know I wouldnt go back and act like their first impression wasnt what they still felt so why would i expect Iverson to? Hence it would be as you stated a moot point to about face and say we need him from Mike and Donnie a week later. If they didnt think we needed him a week ago, although i wish he was here to make us watchable for this year again, then they arent going to feel they need him now.
Does that better explain my logic?

I get the logic but money and opportunity talk bs and bad feelins walk... If Walsh and company woke up and decided AI could help ( I think it's a NO brainer, we have no PG, no floor general, no stars wins or excitement)...
Walsh can approach AI and his agent *also Lebrons, and explain why you shied away and why he now wants him...happens everyday in business,
show somebody the money, opportunity and flatter the crap out of him personally and publicly and all bad karma goes away.
you dig?

I dig Mouse.....
And somewhere between what i'm saying and your point of view both being right depending on the person is what the reality is. Both of our situations or scenarios happen.
all in all, get A.I. in here so we wont win less than 23 games which looks like what we are on par with if something doesnt change. This Walsh idea of no deals whatsoever even though this team is hurting is killing me. Lebron alone is not going to save us.
Just look at the Celtics who are stacked at every position and even they have went on a losing streak to start the season initially. We have more needs than they do and for some reason our GM is convinced Lebron is going to answer it all. Save cap room yes, but give him someone to play with also. As it stands i would resign any of our pending free agents which is why i stated that it would be good to turn some of them into assets like pick and or youngers guys for teams who need that possitional player to take them over the top.
Harrington or Nate or even Lee since Jordan Hill is our PF of the future(rolls eyes) are guys i would smartly turn into assets just in case no one besides Lebron or whomever signs here.

Lebron is not going to come here if there is Zero buzz, no assets, nothing positive. that's where we are now, sign AI and there is possibility of some ball being played here..and heck WE NEED A GOOD PG..

I think we need to just coach better what we have to perform better so we can move some people for picks and salary cap heaven.

Have the Rims decided to trade their entire franchise for another first round pick? Man, if you were going to script a season of failure did it have to be when one does not own a first round pick? For once, I envy the Pets of the West....
