Has anyone heard anything about Eddy Chubby since the Dolan article? Last I heard Dolan took a part in ordering him to stay away from the team. I didnt see Eddy play those few minutes at the end of last year, but I did see two clips on the Knicks season preview on MSG last week and EDDY LOOKED HUGE. Wayyyyy bigger than I remembered. I was expecting to see a much more athletic figure based on his headshot, all the articles and all the hype around this board. Showcasing Jared Jeffries isn't working out I'm feeling. Are we gonna get this guy back this month (Eddy)? Has anyone heard anything? How do we create this cap room?

I thought there was supposed to be an announcement about Eddy's status this week. Some Internet sites, RealGM amongst them, even thought he was returning to practice.
Maybe Ken knows something. ; )

I haven't heard anything about Lard since he strained his parasitic twin whilst feasting on his Halloween goodie bag...
Donnie is hopefully working on getting rid of this guy. This situation has just gone way too far, and it is blatantly clear that Curry does not wish to earn his paycheck again this year.

NY tabloids said Curry will resume practicing with the team as soon as Tuesday if possible.

Who cares at this point? He will never be Eddie of a couple years ago so it is what it is. This guy is the most beat dead horse I've ever seen.

Don't tell Houston Rockets that. I hope Donnie has them on speed dial.

I understand what you mean Iron as I've been an advocate of that deal like forever but Eddy Curry cant dissapear soon enough. His story is so old.

We all may think that talking about Curry is beating a dead horse, but he is a very destructive dead horse when it comes to cap constraints and Knick payroll.
The current team is filled with guys who know they are gone and don't care, know they are gone and are depressed about it, young guys who are having difficulty bearing the onus of being the "future" or who are too busy showcasing themselves for free agency.
Curry falls into the category of "I don't care because I am gettin' paid anyways" . At least Jared Jeffries comes to work. This guy is a mess. Our mess.
We have two roster spots that are filled by unuseable players. Only in New York.

In today's paper it said that Curry was finally cleared to practive and it looked like he had lost a lot more weight. We will see soon. Hopefully, he is down near 300 pounds and can contribute because we could use someone who can score.

I saw Eddy in a interview and he is in the best shape i have ever seen him in. His face looks like a man, meaning no baby fat. However, who knows if this means anything on the court. Hopefully, he can come in and get himself traded.

Trade would be good. Contributing would be good. I don't think his game fits, but I'd settle for either at this point in time. I prefer TRADE though. It's good, if he got the message, finally, about what it takes to be an NBA player.

The ONLY thing holding Eddy Curry back is Eddy Curry. An in shape and focused Eddy Curry is an asset. An out of shape, unmotivated Eddy Curry is a liability. I am encouraged by the recent reports that Eddy is is in shape though I remain in this weird skeptical/hopeful state. I should know better, right? I agree that even playing his best Eddy's game doesn't seem to to be a fit for the Knicks. It would have to be superstar level for him to even have a chance at staying with the Knicks but that horse ain't running in the 5th at Monmouth. I just hope that horse isn't headed for the glue factory. We shall see.

Trade is the operative word. Even an physically in-shape Curry won't be in-shape mentally. At best, he goes to the Rockets with Mobley's contract and we get T-Mac's positive mindset on rehab and expiring contract. At worst, we have a horrific situation in having a Brontosuras grazing to the tune of $22,000,000 for this year and next year. I cannot even bear the thought of what is and what should never be (Led Zeppelin)...

Right now, an in shape Eddy could only help.
