Has Hasheem Thabeet vanished all of a sudden? Say we get lucky and acquire the 3rd overall pick and Blake and Rubio are gone. We have to take the big guy, IMHO. My theory on this is based on the fact that while Duhon is a rich man's Preacher Ward, we can live with this type of PG, especially if the Knicks go after Steve Nash or J-Kidd. Once we sign LeBron, do we really need a stellar PG?
Something I've been thinking about, that's all. I do think if we stay at #8, we go for the best PG out there, and I think we will have our choice between S. Curry, Evans, or Lawson. I like Lawson and I think Walsh will snag him, although Tyreke is an intriguing player, who I would like as well.

If the choice is between Evans and either Lawson or Curry, I take Evans for sure. There are two main reasons...............defense(much needed) and ability to penetrate all the way the the rim. Secondary reason is the ability to play 2 or 3 positions, leaving a lot of lineup flexibility that you won't get with the other two. He is also much more athletic while being taller than the other two. If faced with a choice between Lawson and Curry, I think it is close and both are a stretch @ 8, but I probably take Lawson. Although if Evans is gone, I would want to trade down if possible and probably still get one of them.

The other thing to do is drop way down in the draft, take Budinger and sign Cabezas who is not eligible for the draft. Yes, I would take Thabeet at 3, but reluctantly, because offensively he will be a tough fit. Much better would be to regain a 2010 pick and get Aldrich or J. Jordan.

Ironman I take Evans too. I followed that kid since his JR year of HS. He's only getting better. I wouldn't say he's a better defender than Lawson, but I believe he will be due to his size. I'd take Lawson over Curry, too. The Post and News are writing articles today like Stephen Curry is as Bill put it earlier this weekend "a done deal" with the Knicks if available at the 8th pick.

I think Flynn or Curry for the eight pick but I would love to get Johnson from Wake Forrest he's the Mace in your face rugged strong force we need to start to get on this team,he can cover alot of people with his 257 pounds,I would love to buy the Pistons 15th for 3 million and get a draft pick ,with Curry and Johnson this would be an awesome draft for us.

I like Curry alot. 100 times more than lawson. latest mock at NBAdraft.net has Curry going 6th( more and more people seem to be intrigued) and Flynn coming to us at pick 8. I also like Flynn alot more than Lawson. Now time to go vote for Manny again.
