Darko Milicic is 7'2...maybe. Donnie Walsh said the only player besides Darko who had to duck to enter his office was 7'6 Rik Smits. Darko has been impressing all his new teammates with his defensive play in the post. He is also passing well and we know how much teammates love a guy willing to share the ball. Darko is not an old fashioned traditional back to the basket center but for D'Antoni his skillset is perfect. It sounds like Darko's attitude is perfect too. The Knicks announced their starting lineup for today's pre-season game against the Nets. Jefferies at center, Lee at PF, Harrington at SF, Larry Hughes at SG and Duhon at PG. Gallinari and Chandler will come off the bench as D'Antoni is going with his veteran guys. Good news for us is that Larry Hughes has had a good camp. He is in good shape, his attitude is great and he is concentrating on doing the things he does well. D'Antoni also says rookies Jordan Hill and Toney Douglas have shown significant improvement lately. Will they make the rotation remains to be seen. Nothing much on the end of bench fight between Crawford, Hunter, Yue, Pruitt, Carter, Landry and Howard. It should be interesting to see who sticks with the team. The Knicks have Curry, Darko, Hill, Lee, Harrington, Jefferies, Chandler, Gallinari, Duhon, Hughes, Robinson, Douglas and they are still carrying the contract of Cutino Mobley. There is room for 2 more Knicks on their roster. One will be a guard. Maybe both but that isn't written in stone.
