He's going to be a project for sure, but he seems to have some raw talent to me. He can shoot, is explosive at both ends. I think he will be a useful player by the end of the year. If Darko fails and Eddy has another Eddy year, he is all that is left.

Why is a determination being made about Hill after less than 1 week? ? C'mon Alan Hahn ( "Hill only shot 6-14") so what!!!. Can we give this kid a chance. please. Pearl

The article seemed fair, objective and benign to me. It says nothing about Hill being a bust but it does say he has a lot of work to do and the circumstances favor him because not much is expected of him right away. I found nothing wrong with that at all. Hill was not the Knicks top choice but they worked him out, liked what they saw and when Stephen Curry and Ricky Rubio, their two top choices, were unavailable they did the smart thing and took the best player available. Frankly I was stunned Hill lasted to pick #8 myself.

Bill:
What I objected to was the fact that the he referenced Hill shot only 6-14, which is not awful. What's the difference right now, after one week?

After actually reading the article, I realized Hahn griped about Hill's speed. What does he want from the kid--to lead the fast break? Sheesh...

I agree JB, thought Hahn had a negative tone towards Hill. I think the kid will be a strong pro.

I re-read the article 4 times looking for the "6-14" reference till I saw it was the tagline under the photo. ; )
Again, I think the article was pretty objective considering the Knicks do have a fair amount of bigs and the fact that bigs take more time to develop then small forwards and guards. I like Hahn and usually he is a cheerleader type so I give him the benefit of the doubt that he is not throwing Hill under the bus though it should be noted Hill himself said he was not in shape for the summer league games.
I could be wrong though. It's not like I'm not used to that happening either. ; )
