I dunno. if we had just kept Camby years ago, we'd have had many playoffs.

If I picked 67 people over the age of 88 years old, not one of them would have come up with this injury. Eddy's latest setback regarding this vestigial muscle, which I read today, doesn't even exist in most human beings, is par for his course. At least we now have confirmation that Curry is a "throwback" to the prehistoric days, when a Brontosaurus roamed the land now known as Madison Square Garden. What's next? Curry to miss ten games due to a sprained tail? BTW, hiring Zeke was probably the biggest blunder in Knicks history, unless we consider Scott Layden to have been a real GM.

Maybe if they do some kind of DNA/chromosome test (like with that South African track star) they'll find that curry isn't human. maybe a malfunctioning robot or a mutant descendant from Jor-el via the planet Blubbotron

Wouldn't we all feel bad if we found out this extra muscle actually weighs about 40lbs and if Eddy didn't have it he would be 260lbs? ; )
BTW, the news he is out of preseason workouts was expected. It was just a matter of when and unlike Jerome James I have to give Eddy creds that he lasted through one 90 minute workout. James went down 10 minutes into his first workout a couple of years ago. ; )

You know I like so many, not all of you may have played any number of sports growing up. Others may have had our shot to go to college on an athletic scholarship I'm sure to make it as far as we could with Division one teams in our respective sports. No matter how you slice it we all didnt have this path set in stone and do whatever it is we do because of the natural order of things.
No one in the league with the exception of Jerome James of course on an active roster wastes money like Eddy curry does. I hope the owners could have a clause in any contract that if A B C or D isnt met you can be cut like they do in the NFL. Just cut and you actually have to work to get your job. Owners spoiled players by just giving contracts just to have a a name and never because they earned it.
The league owes the fans so mich for putting up what turned out to be the same 6-8 teams for the most part round robining(not a real word) the finals leaving us with poor attendance, poor quality on the court, poor leadership in the front office.
If you paid me 21 million like we did Marbury on the premise of leading your team respectively absolutely nowhere, I mean are you surprised he didnt live up to expectations? Marbury all the mind games aside should have made what David Lee does give or take a 1mil or 2 and yet he made more annually that Kobe and Lebron last year.
Curry needs to be arbitrated to recieve so little of his pay IF Zeke was smart enough to put a conditiong clause in the contract whcih he probably didnt but why wouldnt that be in every contract?

Before they took him to the hospital he stopped at the buffet fot a couple "Dagwood" sandwiches.

I had researched what is referred to as "The Uniform Player Contract" when we all posted on the AOL boards, and there is, in fact, a standard regarding NBA players being "fit to play". The NBA's current CBA requires every player contract to have this standard in contracts, and if a player violates it, his contract can be voided. However...
Here is the problem. If a team elects to exercise a termination clause, the NBA Player's Union becomes involved, not to mention other legal entities, which would drag on longer than Eddy Curry's contract. If I recall, Curry's contract only had a clause which pertained to the so-called heart condition which was never medically verified, despite the Bulls contesting the trade.
With the number of NBA players who are grossly out of shape nowadays, I would imagine, or rather hope, that the NBA will vote to have even player-option contracts voided based on obesity and the "unfit to pay" statement that is clearly defined in the current CBA. It is inexplicable for an NBA athlete who earns this type of money to completely be permitted to disregard this stipulation that does exist in his contract.
Suitability to play NBA basketball, however, was primarily based on substance abuse issues and/or legal involvements. To think of the 10 game suspension Rashard Lewis received for taking a "legal" performance enhancer compared to Eddy Curry just roaming around the world grazing himself to nearly 400 pounds of blubber, is just amazing to me.
When I started watching professional basketball in 1968, I never, ever recalled seeing a fat NBA player. As time went on, there were certain notable exceptions to the outstanding shape most players are in, but by the time Knick players such as Clarence Weatherspoon, Michael Sweetney, Jerome James, Q-Rich, and, of course, Eddy Curry proved that they all were or are ridiculously out of condition, one would have thought that the league and the teams would have taken a much harsher stance with respect to keeping the NBA product the finest it could be.
I just cannot even fathom Red Holzman, Red Auerbach, or even so-called modern-day coaches like Jerry Sloan being able to control their collective outrage against a player like Eddy or "Snacks". On the other hand, obesity, just like substance dependence and psychiatric challenges, is considered a "disability",and if Eddy Curry's conditioning and weight problems were challenged by the Knicks, it would go all the way to the Supreme Court under the ADA.
