I hope he doesn't get fat here in NY now he's off the trainer's contract, the Knicks would be wise to hire a life coach to get this sucker traded. There is two weeks to camp so he can gain all that weight in two weeks if he doesn't maintain the program.

Curry has had a terrible year. He lost an ex girlfriend and a child, his family got terrorized by robbers and he lost a house due to foreclosure. The only way out of the darkness is a rebirth on the court and the only way that happens if he stays in shape. I don't think Curry will screw up 4 months of work by binging for two weeks at Nedicks. ; )

This summer has hopefully been a turning point in Veggy Eddy's life. He has reputedly lost 40 pounds, had fitness and nutritionists monitoring him, and now is training. We all have to look at this as a positive. But it is still Curry we are speaking of, and there is still no actual photographic evidence of this weight loss Alan Hahn has reported as true.
We need Eddy to be good this season. Good enough for a trade?

I have gotten past the point of being disappointed in Curry because I am a Knicks fan. After all the stuff Eddy has gone through the past few years plus the fact he is a genuinely nice fellow I just want him to play well enough to get another chance at the NBA, get another decent contract from another team and take care of himself and his family. The fact he isn't a fit in NY is really not an issue. The fact that he might be on the path to getting his life and career back in order is the only issue.
Good luck Eddy.

I'm with you Bill we are talking about a big kid's life here basketball aside, the man needs to regroup his whole life, this 40 pounds is a nice start and it would be obvious he made the efford this time.

I agree with you all, but as much as I do want Eddy to have a great life and all the blessings in the world, I want him to either be a terrific NBA player for our team or be good enough to be traded. I know about the horrors of his life, and feel genuinely bad for the guy. He is seemingly a nice, likable fellow who also has a penchant for finding himself in court. Not on the basketball court, unfortunately.
I do believe, perhaps foolishly, that Eddy has made a decision to get his life back on track. Losing 40 pounds, and I know 'Katz' can easily put that weight back on, LOL, is a difficult thing to do, and, as I've stated before, I do believe Curry did lose this weight. If only Berman would do his job and get a picture for 100% proof...
Strickly in Knicks-land, I think NY will be a much better team with the diametrically opposed pivots in Eddy Curry and Darko Milicic. Darko is a tall guy--I read somewhere that he is nearly 7'2 and is a young player, to boot. Eddy is still only 26 years old, and having this two-headed center approach, coupled with whatever Jordan Hill and even Gallo may contribute to the center position, is intriguing and exciting.
So far, the only distressing news I can think of, remains the status of David Lee and Nate Robinson's contracts. To hear Mark Bartlestein punctuate the asinine statement that Lee may be a hold-out in training camp, is really pissing me off. Not at Lee, but at his greedy agent.
