The Knicks just signed Gabe Pruit. He is a point gaurd who has been with the Celtics the last two season. At least he is coming from an winning enviroment.

The Knicks just signed Gabe Pruit. He is a point gaurd who has been with the Celtics the last two season. At least he is coming from an winning enviroment. He played college ball for 3 years at University of Southern California. Having seen him all three years as a seasson seat holder heres my take, albeit 3 years or so later. He is a combo guard although he played point guard more often. He kind of glides down the floor but quickly and many have taken this as being too nonchalant. He has a good handle on the ball and shoots well from the outside. His vision of the court is a little above averahge and he has quick hands (led the team in steals) but is not a great defender. He had school issues and left the program a year too soon. That insured he would be a second round draft choice and all the bad thngs that go with it. He always had promise and was the second best player on USC during his three years (Nick Young, now doing well in the NBA was #1). Its good to se he has a legitimate shot with a team in whose system he can bring his best attributes. Some announcers here called him "smiling Gabe" because he has an overbite and appears to be smiling a lot. Gary
