And dont get me wrong Irish I got the connection with Kahn and Walsh but at what cost are we willing to pay to get him here? Will his teams in Europe help him be a better shooter and defender kind of like Danilo's mentality when he played of in Italy?
Would we be willing to give up a future pick or Chandler when he is our future 2? I only was pointing out that i couldnt forsee whom they'd want which is currently the case, from us and at what cost should we bet the farm for a guy who is currently a shorter, but more famous and a better passing version of David Lee.
He doesnt defend and doesnt shoot any better than Chris Duhon. If Utah gets our pick at the 1 spot and we give them the lottery satisfaction of drafting John Wall, Deron Williams who is Jerry Sloan taught and/or playoff tested is a better option I'd like in Newyork and also Chris Paul wouldnt hurt either with his savvy and toughness and leadership.
I need more proof to be on this Rubio bandwagon yet is all. I hope its still ok to agree to disagree. He passes with finesse but I still dont see what else we would bring for us to trade the farm for. Didnt we learn already from the Eddy Curry experiment about trading the farm for an unsure thing.
Let's hope these next two years for him in Europe prove me wrong and as a man i will concede I was wrong and most was right. I just cant with regard to the subject of Rubio get all hyped about someone who isnt assured of ever being traded tO us unless he was a free agent and we could sign him outright you know?

I do think Ricky Rubio is definitely in play, and all one has to really look at is Minnesota's signing of Ramon Sessions, which marks the third PG this year that the T'Wolves acquired. While I agree with Jason that Ruby is an unproven NBA commodity and that having CP3 on board in 2011-12 would be sweet, I also think that this kid has skills. Mad skills. I would love to see a 20 year old Rubio in the backcourt with Wilson Chandler, tossing those no-look passes to an awaiting LeBron or a free CB4.
That all said, I also do not worry as much about the PG position when next year arrives and the Knicks have the best chance of landing a 6'9 elite PG, SG, SF, PF in LeBron James. How important was Mo Williams in Cleveland, when the offense was chereographed by an unselfish James? This is one reason why I now am happy Donnie didn't succumb to the Ramon Sessions squawking and is now playing some excellent poker with David Kahn, who makes Ed Tapscott look like a genious for drafting Freddy Weis back in the day.
Clearly, Rubio is a Knick target. That is not to say that NY is not looking at the pending FA status of Chris Paul, who is, IMHO, the best PG in the NBA. Is Ricky going to be a better PG than even Paul? Maybe not, but he may be in the same class of playmaker, when he matures physically and mentally.
I would love NY to acquire a first round pick next year via trade. I drool when I see that list of names of prospects and, despite Jordan Hill being our pick, I would have gladly surrendered our pick this year for next year's class, which also includes some big men, who may be excellent pivots. Of course, Jordan Hill may be a terrific pivot as well, but I do not know much about him, other than he has cool hair and is taller than David Lee.
BTW, I think I have the worst track record of any message board member in terms of player expectations and acquisitions. I wanted Eddy Curry in the worst way prior to the trade, and I could not have been a bigger Jerome "Snacks" James bandwagoneer when Zeke inked him to the mid-level. I thought our pivot situation was going to be the team's strongest, and, I was proven wrong, to make an understatement of the decade...

Kenny sometimes we want something and make bad decessions that's why DW IMO is doing a great job with the trades by getting the most for his players.I'm also hoping to get a number one next year,I would take on one year high cost players back in trades to accomplish this along with Mobley's contract we might pull it off.
