Boy, this is the time of year I hate--no news on David Lee, no news on Nate Robinson, and no photographic evidence of Eddy Curry's massive weight loss.
Is it just me, but is NBA basketball one of the top three sports most shrouded in mystery? Or is it just the Knicks?
I would even nibble at some fake rumor surrounding Jared Jeffries for Mike James...
Combine Jared Jeffries salary with Eddy Curry's salary this year and T-Mac still makes more money.
Ya Gotta Love This Game...or to be playing in it with a couple of player option years on your multi-million dollar contract.

this is why i posed the question as to what exactly is Walsh waiting for with whatever proposal he is going to offer our free agent, Nate and Lee. there is no market for them, which as it came from Donnie's mouth , that he was waiting til the "market was et for them". Nobody this offseason wants our guys so why is it 30 days will camp give or take and we dont have any rumors that are fact, or any deals that are even on the table.
One thing that this summer has been a big proponent of is the armies old philosophy of "hurry up and wait". Hurry up and save the money and now wait til next summer to really spend it. It's like you have a dream car in your driveway, and can wash it, sit in it, take pictures with it, BUT can't actually drive it until next summer.
The bad thing is as it currently stands there is little to lead me to believe we will any more games than last year, meaning the Jazz have a pretty nice pick and expiring money next offseason.
I like that Donnie is cost conscious but man this team is thinner than it was before and I see just as many holes as last year's team.
Go NY go NY go.

Donnie is going to simply ride this out until the end. I do believe he is listening to possible sign and trade scenarios for Lee but who knows if they will go anywhere. I am certain one of Donnie's stipulations is either Jeffries or Curry be included, and thats with taking Lee's price tag of 10 million. Like the speculation, I believe Lee and Nate end up signing one year deals. I believe the chance of signing Sessions are good, even if for just one year as well.

I don't see as many so-called "holes" in this team as last year. There are a lot of "if's" but if Hill, Douglas and Darko can play some decent(not great just decent) ball, then there are at least two holes filled, that being that Lee goes back to PF and Duhon has a capable backup. Now I am not certain the Knicks need Hill this year, and I am not counting on Eddy, as even in shape he doesn't really fit. A cool plus would be if Morris Almond makes the team and becomes that missing outside shooting threat, along with Gallinari. I am not real optimistic, but some of the holes are being filled it appears. The best plus would be addition by subtraction, but that is wishful thinking. Would we think this team was any better with or without Jeffries and Curry. I think the answer is obviously ambilvalent. As in: Who Cares! All that matters are the contracts, not the players.
