Ok we have DLee available and we have to trade him ,now we all agree Thomas makes sense in Chicago, now I want to propose a sick trade which works great for both teams.DLee,Jeffries and Curry to Houston for TMac,now they get three centers for the price of an over payed injured player,it's hard for us to give up on Lee but with these stooges off our roster we can now think big,Lebron of course is a no brainier, but who else for 2010,everyone know I hate softy Bosh,so here are some options, hey we can sign Boozer,I would like to bring Camby back.I think it's going to be crazy but we need to make more trades to pickup number ones ,Duhon might be shipped out if someone needs a guard cause of injury, but I would be happy with just Lebron and Camby and of course if Wade wants to come here I would welcome him as well.I would like Duhon back too, let's see how this plays but what a trade it opens up everything.Note when you open a thread you get to use spell check which in my case it make me normal,I've fix large computer graphic systems for 12 years and been a top salesman for another 15 years now I'm a profit trader and I can't spell a lick and type worst I must really look like a total moron especially when you add alcohol to the mix, forgive everyone for appearing like a moron on more than a few occasions ,I spell terrible and type real bad ,but other than that I'm not a bad guy.

Dont worry Rene im in the middle of grad school and I cant spell for shit. Spell check has ruined me. I would do your deal in a New York second. Concerning Houston and this deal the salary situation isnt that bad. In 2011 when Curry and Jefferies expire the only player under contract for Houston is Ariza, and if the deal went through David Lee. However, no trade with Curry will happen until he gets on the floor and produces.

Hey Rene you are a good guy so its ok about the spelling. I sometimes have a ss at the end of sentences when I only meant one. You sometimes i speak out loud what im about to right and say the word yet type the following word and then it posts and even i'm like WTF,lol? So it's cool. This board unlike the old AOL one, allow you to spell check.
Anyway I have a great trade if we offer Sessions and/or nate a deal soon. Curry/Duhon/Mobley's contract for Mcgrady/Kyle Lowry.
Works just fine if we sign Sessions and go young and sign your man Nate to a one year tract. Can you dig it?

Rene
Booze and keyboards don't go together.
You spill your Mojito and then all the keys stick. ; ) No te preocupes mi amigo. Nobody cares about spelling here. We care about ideas and yours is interesting though it's a lot of deals to get done before October.

Rene...
You are an awesome dude, and your trade isn't bad at all. In fact, it's a deal which gives a depleted Houston team "players", which is what they need. I have had a change of heart with respect to David Lee, as I don't think he is the best fit on a Knicks team which is changing from a direction-less mess to a team with vision. David is a great RESERVE, on a team which contends. He is a lunch-pail guy, relentless worker, who is blood sweat and tears, and a player whose numbers were posted on a 33 win team.
Your trade gives them a true pivot in Eddy Curry, a versatile player who can defend 4-5 positions, and a solid player in David Lee. Obviously, the Knicks get rid of the two contracts that most cripple the team and a player who is, for whatever reason, not signed yet. The three Knicks going to Houston are healthy--Curry is simply fat--and Houston gets rid of the highest salary in the NBA--a salary belonging to a player who may never play NBA basketball again.
With this trade, the Knicks can acquire Ramon Sessions, who looks like he is back on the Knicks radar, which solves a huge problem for New York, for NY needs a PG who will be signed through the summer of LeBron. Mark Stein, NBA analyst, reports that James will NOT be signing a contract extension with Cleveland this year, since the King wants to explore his free agent options in 2010. IMHO, LeBron is a Knick in the summer of 2010.
With the nearly $19,000,000 saved by just Curry's and Jeffries' contracts alone, we can go after a second "elite" free agent in 2010 or wait on the following year when Carmelo, CP3, or Brandon Roy are eligible for free agency, when, in all likelihood, the salary cap will go back up. In the meantime, we can do what Bill proposed and take a really good look at our existing players and offer them reasonable contracts. We also have to remember that Wilson Chandler becomes a restricted FA in a couple of years and I see he and Gallo, right now, as being vital to our core. I would even consider signing Al Harrington to another contract and depending on Darko Milicic's play, we will need to look at re-upping him to a deal after this season. And, I would definitely try and keep Nate, for he is a nice combo guard who has that same aggression, drive, and freak athleticism that Ty Thomas has. Ty is an RFA next year and I doubt Chicago will match his $6,000,000 a year qualifying offer. NY can watch him this year and make a decision on what to do when the time is right.
I think the most important move NY must make this year is signing Ramon Sessions. At 23 years old and he is better than Luke Ridnour, we need to throw the maximum of the MLE at him for 4 years. I read that the Bucks will not or cannot match a four year deal due to the Milwaukee ownership being unable or unwilling to pay the luxury tax and the Bucks are dangerously close to the threshold now...Getting a starting PG now means that NY will have one next year and the year after that. The cost will be reasonable, when you think of all the Knick salaries which will fall of the cap after the season is over. IMO, this is a "must do" move.
This season, perhaps we can think about moving one of our expiring contracts for a draft pick or two for 2010. I think that if Toney Douglas proves he can be a good enough reserve PG, we can dangle Chris Duhon for just that--a nice, high first rounder for 2010.
Finally, Rene, I am sure some of the best NBA trades in history were made over a bottle of Jack Daniels or whatever was being served!
Long Live The Kinks!
