A good trade for the Hornets. They get a guy I have coveted for a long time who plays stellar defense and can also contribute on offense. Put Chris Paul and Omeka Okafor together and you have a potential offensive highlight video.
On the Bobcats side it saves them money and while they get the short end of the stick that short end is 7'1, plays good defense and boards. It allows the Bobcats to play Boris Diaw more and the frontline of Gerald Wallace, Diaw and Chandler is a very good one. Solid on defense, athletic, good rebounders and good scoring out of Wallace and Diaw. With DeSagna Diop available as a backup and guards like Raymond Felton, Raja Bell and rookie Gerald Henderson it's a team Larry Brown will like. They will play his style of lockdown defense and his style of boring offense. ; )
The Hornets move closer to the elite in the West. I think Okafor breaks out with them and becomes the team's third star player.
Great move by New Orleans. Not bad by Charlotte.

This has the potential to be one of those rare trades that is good for both team. I love Ty Chandler and wish we had him as our center. I also wouldn't mind Okafor on the Knicks as well...
