Bender is reportedly contemplating a return, and its speculated that Donnie Walsh could be interested. I remember Donnie trading for him on a draft night years back to bring him to Indiana. I believe it was the deal that sent Antonio Davis to Toronto.

Bender, when healthy, was quite a player. Think Jared Jefferies only stronger, tougher and able to consistently score and rebound. Plus he is a decent passer.

He is still just 28 years old and he has had 3 years to rehabilitate his injuries. After seeing what Grant Hill and Amare Stoudamire could do to resurrect their careers I think Bender deserves a shot.
