"The Los Angeles Clippers today acquired guard/forward Quentin Richardson from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for forward Zach Randolph."
So I guess that begs the question;
"would you rather have Zach Or Darko..both were avail for Q.
I guess we will have to wait and see the Darko show. Who knew Q had so many fans, not in NY.

My understanding is Zach had even fewer fans, especially within the Clippers' organization.

Zach is the better player, much better than I ever thought as I was not one of his fans when he came to the Knicks. His style of play though is not a fit for the Knicks. Darko hasn't even touched his potential with the blame for that equally distributed to unrealistic expectations, adapting to a strange country, a new language and a much tougher level of basketball, Larry Brown and Darko's own passivity. If Darko even gets in the same Zip Code as his talent he is a fit for the Knicks. Time will tell whether the deal works out but trading Q and getting Darko back is still a coup in my opinion.

The trade was predicated on Q-tip's expiring contract. Randolph still has 2 years left on his bloated deal, I believe.
I also would rather take Milicic back, for here is a 24 year old 7 foot plus player, who may end up being an excellent player for the center-starved Knicks. In addition, if he doesn't work out, he is off the books after this year. Zach prohibited NY from what may be a franchise turn-about in the 2010 summer FA market. As did Crawford.
