As far as Wilson Chandler is concerned, the future appears good. In reality he is almost a rookie. Last season he only played the last 20 to 25 games. This season he showed a lot of talent. The main problem was his inconsistency. I attribute that to his youth and inexperience. Next season I think we will see a lot more maturity as well as consistency. Of course this is my Kool Aid thinking. I also think that Gallinari, if healthy, will become a fan favorite. I'm a little down on Lee because of his terrible defense and ability to get his shot blocked more than anyone I've ever seen. But players like him don't grow on trees so I want him back next year. By the way, as far as JVG is concerned, few may remember that it was I who first called him Jeff Van Blunder. Kudos to Bill for setting up this board...it feels right!

One has to wonder if the Knicks could have won a NBA Title if they had Hubie Brown instead of Jeff Van Helsing. ; )
Incidentally, just to throw this out there, the Knicks played a lot of switching defense and frequently Lee would be guarding a small forward or guard. That's not going to make him look good. ; ) Combine that with playing out of position against bigger, stronger guys and what you get is me defending Lee's defense. ; ) Not really, though not good defensively I suspect Lee isn't as bad as we think either.

Ironically for some reason Jeff Van Gundy was listed by that show fans most wanted on msg as the third best coach in Knicks history by fans behind Holtzman and Riley second despite what we all feel. Then again who knows how many fans actually voted on that show through msg.com I also think that many of the fans who vote on these polls, are younger fans, who didn't know the "Red" teams. Holzman was the best Knicks coach, by far. JVG doesn't make the top 5, as far as I'm concerned.

Realistically, after Red and Riley, the options are either JVG or Hubie and JVG won more consistently.

Jeff Van Gundy has always been whiny. Brother Stan takes it to a whole new level. I'm not particularly impressed with JVG's analysis as it seems to me he just throwing out regurgitated sound bytes we have heard before. My measure of an analyst is do I learn something I didn't know before and with JVG the answer is a resounding "No". That's why I like X and O guys like Hubie Brown. He dissects the game. Jeff Van Gundy picks at it. True true but there is only one hubie. doug collins may tell you something of value but by the 3rd quarter I'm muting his never ending chatter. JVG is alot better than mark jax. I hate listening to Mark criticizing someone's defense when he played less than Nash. mark acts like he's telling you something major when any moron already saw what he thinks he's enlightening. JVG is just hilarious to me. I'll watch any game he's doing. He's purposefully outrageous but he often has a salient point behind his statement.
