The thing is that Carlos Boozer took his 12 mil player option instead of testing free agency and Utah wants to deal him now because they have eyes for Millsap.
So I propose a sign and trade of David Lee at 7 mil and Jeffries on a 2 year left on his deal at 5.5 mil for Boozer's 12 mil+ 1 year deal and we can at least say we tried to make the best run this year for the playoffs with a sort of allstar at the 4 spot with Jordan Hill spelling him.
I'm not a ultra big fan of Boozer much but this way David Lee has a chance to have a better shot a playoff contender with he and Millsap being a one-two punch at the 4 spot.
We could sign Grant Hill or go after Ramon Sessions for due dillegence. Then depending on what happens with whether or not we acquire a new PG upgrade or not we just offer the Rockets aggressively Mobley's contract plus Eddy. And see if Golden state may want the close to home Nate for Azibuke or anthony Randolph so we can strengthen our youth movemoent and potential.
Or Nate/Sene for Javele McGee of the Wizards. The possibilites are there that wouldnt hurt our position. We have to be intelligently aggressive now because the cap just got lowered a million and change and is projected to go down another 4 mil next summer as of right now.
I'd even go as far trying to see finally if the Raptors take Al Harrington AND David Lee in a sign and trade where they'd get an expiring deal in Al and a high energy PF in Lee who is a league leader in rebounds and double doubles.
