Will....
Per my usual custom, I read all of the NY area papers, and all of them believe that Grant Hill is very serious about taking the Knicks up on a one year deal, which would reportedly be a portion of the midlevel exception, which, due to the Celtics using their entire mid-level exception of 'Sheed Wallace, would make New York the team that can offer the most $$$.
Obvously, if Hill wants a ring ala Payton and Malone, on a team that has gotton better with Wallace and is surely better than last year, Grant would probably take less money.
However, from the reports I read, Hill loves D'Antoni, always wanted to play for NY, and would relish the role of mentor/back-up SF/SG.
In addition, the Knicks would, according to several reports, offer the remainder of their MLE to RFA PG Ramon Sessions, who is a very promising 23 year old point, who dismantled Chris Duhon as well as Nate Robinson last year when the Bucks played NY. Milwaukee probably would offer the kid their full MLE, if they were smart, but this is also the same team that let Charlie Villanueva walk away for nothing.
I think if Hill signs a one year deal with NY, his mere presence would help Chandler and Duhon improve their respeective games. In addition, Hill can play three position--SF/SG/Point forward. His versatility on the court would help NY out, especially if the Knicks can somehow acquire Ramon Sessions.

I would even offer Duhon in a trade for Ramon Session where they'd save money on a year deal with a decent PG in chris and they wouldnt have to sign a long term deal with Session whereas we could have for whaat the cost of Duhon's deal would be at 5-5.5 over 4 years.
But you see these type deal hinge on us getting rid of Curry and Jeffries first. I outlined how in another thread.

Sessions is a RFA, but he is a commodity, for the Bucks are rumored to be offering their entire mid-leve to keep him I think Ramon is worth it,and despite my fo the deal you outlined. I cannot imagine thy waxing on about Grant Hill, Grant is 36 years old and has sustained enough injuries to last a lifetime. If Hill would only take the vet's minimum, we could tender an offer sheet to Sessions for the MLE foe 3 years or so. At 23 years old and with an extremely bright future, I think Donnie Walsh needs to acqure this guy. We need a starting PG and Ramon is the only one out there who fits the team, IMO,
