Well the season is over and we did a lot better than any of us expected. We have a genuine superstar in Jalen Brunson. He's only going to improve. We have a front office that seems to know what it's doing... and this message board has succumbed to years of pain and torture. Silence has replaced the complaints, hopes, trade suggestions, predictions, and other aspects of a discussion family. We're worn out. We lasted quite a long time. KT Black, with his clever blend of malevolence, racism, and basketball knowledge back in the olden days. The few of us who remained such as Gates and Irish. Members we remember like Ignitowski, ReneNYG1, DaGlazer, Axios, Trendsetter. Kgooglog aka Ken who fought a long battle with Cancer. We never were notified what happened to him, yet we knew! At the age of 78 my memory isn't what it used to be. I can't remember the screen name of an African American brother in California who's opinion I always looked forward to reading. Sorry but nature is having its way with me. But with Facebook and twitter I guess the need for the KnicksKnacks doesn't exist anymore. So let me close with Goodbye, Rest In Peace, and Au Revoir. LET'S GO KNICKS 1923-1924

Great post. Brunson has been a franchise and board saver i believe. It will now be fun again to figure out who to get rid of, who fits better, who’s available. Maybe some fun times ahead.

LET'S GO KNICKS 1923-1924 Yo kman. This board has been a big part of my life. During bad times it was the first thing I did upon awakening. I loved this board more than KT Black loved Tim Thomas. I liked Brunson a lot but didn't like his defense or pick and roll passing. I was wrong. I vastly underrated his intelligence. And also his physical and mental toughness. I do believe you can win a chip with him running the show. But the starting front court can't shoot nearly well enough to win a chip. And I'm not trading Mitch unless Embiid comes back in a major major deal. But I'd be open for business to do a launch brothers (RJ or JR) deal. Overall most fun I've had as a knick fan since that Woodson team. Sad that we didn't share it here. You guys are the best.

Im thinking Mitch is peak Mitch and would unload him now. He's one dimensional and we need a 5 that can either pass or shoot besides D. Everyone is available in my opinion. Randle, Barrett, IQ, Grimes, Mitch. I'm hoping this team looks a little different next year. Whether it's via trade or draft moving forward, I want only guys who can shoot, shoot, shoot and have the ability to play D (culture) . Everyone on Miami can shoot, and they'll be in the finals.

Been very busy but I'll promise to drop by more hope everyone is well. I've been watching Reaves for the last couple of weeks-- can't be bothered with the regular season anymore for reasons we have all hashed through a number of times for sure-- but color me impressed. He's playing the Ginobili role for them, or dare I say Havlicek. You know 3rd option as a starter or be the 6th man leader of the 2nd unit. The Knicks should definitely try to outbid others for him, but his bond with Lebron seems pretty strong -- anyway I agree with you that he'd be the perfect backcourt mate with my guy Brunson. On a separate note I'd be happy to say bye to Randle but I still think we have to continue to stick with RJ. This offseason he should be working with Godfather Steve Nash. Dribbling, shooting, footwork. And I wouldn't trade Mitch, either. Floor impact is too much of a positive, even if he did fade against the Heat. I'd pass on Embid and continue to build slowly and patiently. No big trades are necessary. I hope all of you are well!!

If this board is kaput, I'm putting out my top 10 list of All-Time NBA players and my reasoning. Feel free to respond as it will either spur some conversation or serve as a memorial ha ha ha.
1 Jordan 6 2 Russell 13 3 Duncan 5 10x All-NBA 1st team 4 Magic 5 5 Kareem 6 6 Bird 3 7 Hakeem 2 8 Lebron 4 9 Shaq 4 10 Steph 4 11 Wilt 2 Bryant/Mo Malone/Durant/Dirk/Oscar
My criteria are
A Two-way play B Finals rings C whether they were leaders on their title teams D Did they do all the things that helped their teams win: clutch-ness, efficiency, hustle, making others around them better, aka superior teamwork? E does their play translate into any era?
Bonus: Bill Russell Trophy aka Finals MVP
Health, peace, and prosperity to all of you.

I definitely disagree with some but just an excellent list. Im not sure Russell totally translates to this era. But the modern training, his competitiveness and his intelligence would make him an excellent player (particularly his lateral quickness against drivers) . Just maybe not the greatest. Jordan fits all five of your criteria even though his dickheadedness would be a slight problem. Being very old i saw all of these guys live and I have to express how off the charts great Kareem and Oscar were. The gap between Oscar and the next bet guard Jerry was massive. I give Lebron a significant edge over Larry. MUCH better defender and didnt play next to massively underrated McHale. I would not rate Duncan that high BUT he might be the best teammate of all time. I love Jokic and Steph being incredible teammates. Speaking of Steph (me and jason have been crying sine that draft), THANK YOU for putting Steph ahead of Durant. Oh and if Shaq played now, all rosters would be different. Again great list.

I think we have shooters.Grimes can shoot. His numbers are very good and he has a quick release.I think we should stick with our guys and just add,I love everyone on this team.Grimes and IQ shoiuld improve alot next year and we forget how young Randle is and RJ these guys can and do get better. It will be ashame to break it up before we see what these young puppies do when grown.I would also add the experience against Miami with Lowry and Butler and Love's savvy really will help I know RJ got a huge lesson and will take that and use it.We have smart guys. And they all work extremely hard.i don't want any injury prone guys that I have to give days off too.Let's stay with this young team.Resign,Hart extend IQ and Obi,trade Frenchy and a few picks for OG maybe but otherwise hang with this team and stand pat.if we can make an offer for Reaves that LA can't match it might work too but we have to move Frenchy for space.

Axios don't sellout my man Mitch too soon,i know it;s frustrating not having a stretch five that can shoot threes but thier not many out there,Jovi and Lopez and Embid that's it Towns for 50 mil per too but not too many centers rebound like Mitch and play defense like him.Plus we have him for 12 per.I say stay with my man we have others to shoot and he can always be counted for alley oops.It sucks when other shooters miss than you want your five to shoot too but remeber who is getting those second chance rebounds that's why Hart is so impactful,I feel your wanting a shooter from the five a Jovic would be nice especially after you see him play and say shit we need a shooter there at five.I would be very happy if Mitch learned a short shot like a half hook.
