It has been amazing. And there is no fools gold. Team plays hard, plays smart, plays unselfishly. I tend not to like iso ball and this team isos a ton. But they are good at it and still willingly give the ball up. And Josh Hart. O my. I knew he was really good but not that he would fit like this. Down the stretch Thibs has for excellent wing choices for 2 spots. I also like how they run more. Helps RJ a ton. 3rd option is hard. Unless you can really shoot(Ray Allen or Klay) or team runs a lot. By running RJ often gets one on one's in the open court. Just love how the compete and how young we are - while still having a bunch of picks for a trade or more young talent.

Just love how the compete and how young we are - while still having a bunch of picks for a trade or more young talent. And there you have it in a nutshell!!
By not firing Leon Rose and Tom Thibodeau, not trading Randle, RJ, IQ, Grimes, Obi and a bunch of picks and signing Jalen Brunson and Isaiah Hartenstein plus being patient enough to wait till this group was jelling and then adding the perfect catalyst in Josh Hart we are the fans of the most feared team in the NBA!!! Hell, even Stephen A Smith wants to jump back aboard the bandwagon!! BTW, permission denied Mr. Stupid As Shit!!
The players would run through walls for Thibs. Note how Derrick Rose and Evan Fournier have remained so supportive despite the fact they are hardly playing. Thibs has got this team believing in themselves and working hard all game long. By NOT trading for Donovan Mitchell the Knicks have FIVE guys capable of sparking this team with their scoring and/or defense in Randle, Brunson, RJ, IQ and Hart. Thibs said so himself that the Knicks have leaders and grinders who are working constantly on their games. In a rarity these days these guys even like each other!!
Miraculously this team still has most of their draft choices and by not releasing Rose and Fournier we have salary cap trade material this summer. So the present looks great, the future looks even brighter and we have no idea just how far this group can go. One thing for sure is that the league's best defensive coach has the league's most potent offense since the All-Star break!

I am looking forward to the playoffs this year for the Knicks. Brunson has vindicated the evaluation Jason and I made years ago. He is surely the difference. He's the straw, the organizing principle. And to think one of the Nets is from Villanova too.
Looks like it's going to be Randle, Brunson, Barrett, Quickly, Grimes, Robinson, Hart, Hartenstein. That's a smallish but gritty team, surely a tough out come playoff time. How far we get will depend on matchups.
I wonder which team we could face-- and prevail over-- in the first round?

Much credit for Brunson. I'd prefer the Cavs. Bucks and Tics are too good. And Embiid will draw too many fouls
