I like Hart (almost as much as Brunson) I do worry how Barrett will respond if Hart is finishing games. And Brooklyn bwahaaahaa😝🤑😝

Hart was sensational last night. Excellent addition. I can see why Brunson was overjoyed upon learning of the trade

The title of this thread is Hart and DURANT. No mention of KD so I thought I might start the conversation.
KD is a certain first ballot Hall of Famer and one of the greatest scorers I have ever seen. If healthy he MIGHT get Phoenix out of the West and into the Finals but he's 34 years old with a history of major injuries and Phoenix just traded some very good ball players PLUS 4 UNPROTECTED first round draft picks. That's a huge gamble IMHO but I guess a team with Chris Paul has a minuscule window of opportunity. Still...
The Nets have no superstars and arguably you might question the notion if they have any real stars at all but they do have a loaded roster. Knicks killer Patty Mills didn't even play tonight and Seth Curry sat out the game but still the Nets came in waves led by Spencer Dinwiddie who has replaced Kyrie Irving as my second most hated Nets player. Having to trade two megastar players I do have to say the Nets got a decent and maybe even great return. But finally the Knicks beat the Nets and for the second game in a row the newest Knick Josh Hart had a HUGE impact on the game. It's not just the scoring and rebounding though both areas of Hart's game are impressive. It's his energy, his 110% hustle and his smarts that stand out. Watching the combined wizardry of Brunson and Hart was a joy tonight. An absolute joy.
But the Knicks still need a superstar player.

Big respect for Villanova players. Smart tough and disciplined. I love HOW Brunson and Hart play. BTW, A third Villanova player Mikal went off for 45 against Miami

"AN ABSOLUTE JOY". Exactly how I feel. I also have respect for what Brooklyn got. May the last few games the bench has been much better. Finally if we get someone better than Brunson and Randle it's time to make a title run.

Getting Hart was an excellent low key move that improved every aspect of the team. Hart is a good defender and rebounder and does not need the ball to impact the game. Playing with his old college teammate and friend in Brunson has helped and his 3 point shot has seemingly returned. He also is a great example for Grimes to learn from as a veteran.
Another small aspect of the trade is that Hart allows Thibs to reduce RJ's minutes. RJ is a gamer, but he does not look 100% healthy to me. Hopefully, RJ can come out of the all-star break well rested and get back to playing solid defense because he has been poor on that end this year.
