Why do they let him 3 pointers. They need a shock collar around the neck for this fool. I hate watching him shoot 3 pointers more than jet fans hate Zach Wilson

67 point guards are listed. Mcbride is 66th in PER. Only Frankie is worse. I hate watching him shoot He must do a great job washing management cars.

He's also bottom 10 in RPM. If a new index Offensive Total Trash was created, I bet he'd be first. The only time he'd be Watchable would be in shooting contest with Killian Hayes. First one to make 2 three pointers on a row wins. Would take 45 minutes.

Whoa!!! Why the hate on a guy most Knick fans love? 
Deuce McBride may not be a great (or even competent) offensive player NOW but he's already a defensive disruptor of the first order. He's produced offensively in college and in the G League which is why Thibs and his teammates ENCOURAGE him to shoot the ball. Like Frank Ntilikina you see pretty good shooting form except for a little drift when Deuce shoots the ball. And unlike Ntilikina you see McBride mostly taking good shots and not hesitating when the opportunity comes.
But it doesn't matter. The Knicks are looking to trade for more offensive firepower off the bench and when that trade gets done, and I believe it will, Deuce goes back to the bench. The fact of the matter is our main bench asset is IQ who plays both ends of the court extremely well. Add some more bench scoring and that may help the Knicks keep late leads.

Now to mcbride. The hate is because he almost never passes up an open shot. Now I realize the everyone takes open shots. But Lillard and Curry will often pass up open shots to move the ball 4 a better shot. And Robinson with a left handed hook isn't much worse than Boulder boy. Last time he hit two in a row, I needed a defibrillator. It is like a rag armed qb that keeps trying bombs. I don't hate him like I hated frank. frank < mcbrick < baker. Maybe the Knicks can get Sue Bird to unretire and take mcbrides spot. Duhon is Morant compared to mcribb. |
