IQ and Fornier shot very weil. But, to me the story was McBride. That may have been the most complete all around game by a Knicks point guard in the Thibs era. Defense and shooting was obvious but I was very impressed by the way he delivered the ball, Straight up pure point guard readings, on time in a manner that a combo guard like IQ could not yet even see. Only 1 game and Houston is weak on defense and little BUT wow.

Deuce earn to play,the good thing about corvid was it forced Thibs to play Deuce and Grimes.Now he is forced to play them because thier better.I would love both to start and you can see IQ and Mitch playing better with Deuce.I've been thinking about a trade and the only one I see helping us big time if we can pull it off is getting Jonas Valanciunas.He would be perfect for us .

We might need to stop looking at PGs on other teams and see that Rose drafted well and use Mcbride and Grimes(when he gets out of health and safety protocols). They are really good players. There's no way in hell they should go back to end of the bench. |

So Deuce and Grimes need to play, right? Then they both get Covid and Fournier scores 32 and Kemba 29, and WTF does Thibs do now? I thought Kemba got unfairly blamed for the team’s slow start and when he got benched and they kept losing the blame shifted to Fournier. I don’t want to blame anyone, but the one constant to me is Julius Randle or as I call him these days, Dribble McDribbleson. A point guard needs to run the offense, not Randle. Have you noticed how many dunks Mitch and Obi get on alley oops? Now think about who throws them those passes. DRose, IQ, RJ etc. Randall? Never, despite the fact he has the ball most of the time. I don’t hate Randle, I hate the way he plays. He has his moments when he catches the ball and shoots and that’s when I love him, because that’s how he needs to play the game. I don’t even care if it goes in, just keep doing that! Against Houston, Grimes, a second round rookie draft pick had nine assists and ZERO turnovers. When has Randle ever done that? Let the point guards run the offense, until they do Randle is the problem IMO.
