How can the Pacers, who have more talent than us, realize they r not winning anything and will re-build. It’s sad to watch this garbage. We are mediocre at best. I’d trade any starter on this team. I’d flip Burke’s , Fournier, if someone wanted him. Randle, Mitch, no problem. Someone must have a clue in the front office of what we need to be successful. This team is a mish mosh of low IQ guys who can’t shoot . I’d rather watch Grimes, McBride, obi, Barrett, Sims and Knox play at this point.

A different knick gets on my last nerve every game. lately is has been mitch and RJ, Admittedly I know very little about defense> But one would think that if the opposing center's 2nd language is English then Mitch might not want to give him wide open looks. My question about RJ is this. Can he ever (ever ever) just catch a pass and immediately swing it to the next man. He willingly will pass off the drive (difficult task) but NEVER just swings the ball. Love THibs but some of the ball carressing ( from Julius and RJ and lately IQ) is on him. Move the freakin ball.

Since we're talking about reality, there is a certain optic that seems to be that Randle, Taj and Rose can do whatever they want, and everyone else is held to task.
Rose rarely does anything wrong to be clear, but prehistoric Taj misses assignments sometimes. I never hear him being yelled at/talked to. Randle sometimes pounds it to 6 seconds on the shot clock and jump passes it to whomever so they have 5 seconds to make a shot that often misses. Never gets a stern talking to on the bench or in the game.
My point is yes Thibs does have an accountability issue. He plays favorites, and it's something Fizdale said to us in a recent interview that I fear all recent Knicks coaches suffer from.
Fizdale before he took the Lakers assistant coach job, said that when he was here in an interview, he was arrogant in the way he approached this job. He learned humility.
I think almost every coach we've had since Van Gundy, has had a certain Flair of arrogance in the sense, they feel that they are not too amenable, to making adjustments on the fly or again with in game optics.
Thibs is a loyalist and he'd take Rose and Taj anywhere on Earth he coached. Fine and all but if they missed an assignment he wouldn't probably even say anything to them.
Thibs has to change that and hold everyone equally accountable.

Very interesting take. You may well be correct all across the board. I must take time to really give your post more rhought. I do know Obi (please defensive rebound better) gets yelled at for mistakes while a couple other bigs will get a pass for that same mistake I also know that a non movement one on one offense can misuse other players. And the crap they run for Fornier is just the stuff they ran for Bullock even though Evan has a lot more stuff. O well the record isn't much work than we expected at this point but the product is visually unimpressive.

Funny enough someone else pointed out to me that we surprisingly have a better record now than this time last year as ugly as it looks. Oh yeah also it is bad optics to blame Kemba for the lack of defensive effort(he has no defensive bone in his body but he ain't the only one), by benching him but then we go on to lose just as much as when he's in there. That made Kemba look much better than the Knicks. Like put him on the end of the rotation not completely out of it.

And to me the highlight of the last game was Kemba wildly cheering for his teammates down the stretch
