I was invited to the game and was fortunate enough to be seated about five rows back from the Knicks basket, just to the left and closer to the Knicks bench. The noise level from the "entertainment" was ridiculously loud, like they don't want you to have a conversation or they want to keep you in a state of distraction.
Anyhoo... Nikola Jokic is an unstoppable force out there. Poor Mitch. And Noel even worse. Every shot Jokic takes looks like money. I cannot overstate how good this guy is, nor can I overstate how lousy the Knicks offense looked. SO much one on one. And the defense?? There wasn't any if by "defense" we mean challenging 3 point shots or boxing out. The Nigerian kid for them was never challenged on his 3 pointers.
I looked over at where Spike was sitting. His seat is basically across the court from the Knicks bench, including where Thibodeaux stands on the sideline. Seemed to me Spike was staring daggers at Thibs yesterday, and why? Because his players were giving sub-standard effort, with inchoate offense and lackluster defense.
Oh and Dolan sauntered in at the middle of the 3rd quarter, just in time to see the Knicks go down by 30. The 9-year old kid in the seat in front of me started chanting "Sell the team!" Oof!
