Q1 Interesting they have Walker not guarding Chris Paul. I like Fournier’s aggression and even selfishness. Robinson has elite floor impact. Booker is so good. Walker is feeling it. Szcerbyack the ultimate homer cum Dolan MSG shill is maintaining that the Knicks starters are figuring out their offense, learning how to play with each other. We shall see. Not a bad quarter but Phoenix what a team. Q2 Knicks down 11. Meant to say that my favorite Knicks are RJ. and Burks. And Mitch if he only could stay healthy. Again: Booker is really really good. If he can be a plus defender he’s perennial All-NBA do another 10 years. Suns are dissecting the Knicks. Chris Paul is so great at using his picks. It’s subtle but so valuable. Rose and Walker should study this skill. BTW Breen acknowledging that Walker still trying to figure stuff out. No shit Sherlock. It’s the “scoring point guard” conundrum.

Q3 Everything Walker does is one on one. His impact on the overall team offense is nonexistent. So if he’s off he can’t be a net positive out there. And he’s already a defensive deficit. I wonder if he’s around after this season. I see a player who is limited and flawed. Fournier and Walker provide zero defensive resistance. Knick timeout again. Sheesh. Booker on his way to 50. Noel called for moving screen and you know why? Because Walker doesn’t know how to use a screen, as I said earlier when comparing Paul to Walker and Rose. Knicks are outclassed tonight. Suns have a GREAT MIDRANGE GAME. Q4 Knox is in aannnnd I’m out. Oof.

Excellent stuff Trend. I thought we played decently. But Suns are a juggernaut playing at the top of their game. And their roster fits very well. Every time I see Bridges I get sick.

Knicks are very mediocre this year and this saddens me. Sums have won 15 in a row and now we get the Hawks who have won seven in a row. Not exactly the softest part of the schedule. It’s closing in on the time when Leon Rose has to shit or get off the pot and use all those assets to acquire a legit superstar. And why stockpile picks when you have a coach who won’t play them?

Speaking of not playing rookies, we are out both Rose and Kemba with IQ possibly starting. Will he actually play Mcbride meaningful minutes tonight. He can defend and score. So can Grimes who are both better than Knox by a mile. Time to give these first rounders chance. Thibs is equal parts stubborn and brilliant sometimes, it's super frustrating to be his GM and a fan of the team he's a coach.

I was at the game last night and Phoenix's offense was just so smooth. They ran a ton of off-ball screens for Booker to make sure that he got open. Conversely, almost all of our screen action was on the ball. In the 2nd half, the Suns tried to hide Paul by having him guard RJ and we almost never went to RJ despite the mismatch. Only once did we throw the ball into the post with RJ and it forced the Suns to double and we got an open 3!!
What I really noticed was that for most of the game, no one other than Randle was willing to shoot the ball. Eventually, IQ started to shoot, but the team seemed scared to shoot. Well, except for Grimes, but he should NOT have been shooting those shots. He rushed his shots.

PHoenix put on another strong performance tonight as the beat the best record in the east Brooklyn rims. Despite Kevin Durant, Patty Mills and some lardass Ralph Kramden look alike built alike the rims got rolled. Phoenix is nice. They do run a lot of off balls screens (like GS) and that is fun and impressive to watch
