More like 28.33 million vs 19.4 kinda like the age younger guy for 19.4 and a much better shooter .

I heard Lavine say he wants to spend his entire career in Chicago a couple of weeks ago, and that’s when my dream for him died. I feel like we’re almost at the point where we can stop hoping for elite free agents because they all want LA and South Beach. And now that the Knicks are good again, they’ll be drafting to low to get a superstar there too. The trade market is the only realistic goal to get an elite player at this point.

I do believe Zion will be a Knick in the future, however he has 3 more years on his rookie contract. I imagine he demands a trade after next season and rather than lose him for nothing, the Pelicans will accommodate his request. I can see Donovan Mitchell as a possibility as well.

Those teams are 5x better than us. Unless we prove to be on the cusp of only needing them to push over, why in the world would Booker and Mitchell leave those places. They are treated like deities in those franchises. Now Zion on the other hand wants to play with RJ and that has been proven by the cheesiest of Cheshire Cat grins and statements from him since he's been in the league. But yet and still what we find out is that cap space is overrated these days and players go where they want to in essentially forced sign and trades anyway.

Zion also loves New York and openly wanted to be a Knick when he was at Duke. Zion is a loyal guy though. If NO can figure it out and put a good team around him, then he would stay. His family wants him in NY though.

I do agree with Zion wanting to come here and I also believe the Knicks are the first choice of Dame if he requests a trade, but the problem is first choice is a far cry from only choice. Those players might prefer NY but their teams will get the best possible package they can for them, and other teams have better assets. I mean when it comes to Dame, we can’t beat a Ben Simmons package from Philadelphia. Hopefully by the time Zion is available we’ll have more to offer.

I would leave Salt Lake City to play in Albany. Now relationships are important. Some pretty good players left teams to play in Brooklyn. Not sure but I think that is sorta close to Manhattan. Certainly correct about LA and Miami. Everybody and his brother wants to play with LeBron in those cities, particularly LA. No one wanted to go to Leaveland OHio. We just gotta keep winning.

Winning culture solves alot of problems, ultimately how smart we buy free agents, trades, draft and develop players hopefully will get to a high level were guys will come. This up and coming year is very important to see what direction we are headed and I think it looks great.
