Terrible defeat. Total defeat. Ugh !!! Let’s all hurl ! But what does it really mean? We lost the home court advantage in game ONE . If we had won the first game. The series would be a 2-2 tie. We still have to hold court at the Garden and win one game in Shitlanta. Then there’s a game seven at MSG !
Can we play any worse?
Could we be more motivated?
Does Atlanta need to be more OVERconfident?
Was Julius Randall a season long mirage ?
Does Trae Young need to be given a Stone Cold Stunner?
Do we need to hire General Sherman as an assistant coach and equip him with a blowtorch.
Let’s start Elfrid Payton even for a few minutes. Maybe he’ll remember how to play.
Most important, let’s find away to get the worst Knick jinx, SPIKE LEE, to stay home and watch the game on TV like the rest of us !

The central issue is Randall's performance, which includes of course where his mind is at. He's tentative, undecided, unsure, and now clearly flustered. The young man is regarded as a top-Ten player in the NBA this year and this is what we get? He has all the skills and elite conditioning to excel and yet he has not risen to the occasion. Is the moment too big for him? Meantime Thibs has to find someone or some defensive scheme that can stick to Young-- who simply goes wherever he wants, and at will. I guess he is really that good, but still. If the Knicks win the next two games Randle has to be part of that scenario. And even if they lost a Game 7 then Randle will have redeemed himself. If, however, Randle again plays poorly on Wednesday and the Knicks lose, there will be controversy. This man averaged 35 points against this same squad in the regular season. How else would the Knicks be so eager and confident to play the Hawks? |

Sorry for the disconnect: both as a result of the games, and their negative impact, plus being away from my computer.
Bad news on Nic- an all time warriors in my mind.
Thibs rode his weapon, Randell (long and maybe overlong) in my book. no choice.
While on the road I will check back here.
