The refs didn’t cost us this game, but on what planet do you let them play the whole game and then call everything down the stretch including the ticky tack fouls? That is literally the reverse of how a game is usually called. Or how about be consistent for 48 minutes so players know what to expect when the game is on the line? F those bums. And start Frank, and this is coming from someone who HATES FRANK! You can’t let Mini Me get off like he did against Payton. Frank starts and he either stops him or slaps the shit out of Herve Villachaize and draws three quick fouls and you go to DRose. And Eddie Gaedel wants to be Reggie Miller? Well we usually ended Reggie’s season and we will end Tom Thumb’s as well. The Knicks were definitely intimidated by the crowd in their first playoff game and it won’t happen again. Notice the players most unaffected were the ones who have been there before, like Burks and Rose. And for some reason the rookies, Obi and IQ were fine as well. I rarely criticize Thibs, but Atlanta made nice adjustments to slow down IQ and Rose in the second half, and Thibs didn’t come up with a plan for Young, or if they did, his team failed to execute it. If Tiny Tim is going to beat you, make it be from long range, stop letting him in the paint for the floater or lob pass. Agreed. That type of reffing late is counter to hove playoffs have been reffed late in games. As bad as calling the 10 seconds foul line violation on Giannis late. Sure call it but hedid it all game. You gotta wait until late to call it. Dislike frank. He plays hard defense but his over aggressiveness rarely works against real
scorers /ball handlers. But if he was willing to smack Atlanta Barbie around a few times then fine start him. Personally I'd start Burks at PG. And I'd run Bullock off a million picks. Hawks would try to hide Tracie on Reggie. Saddened that i thought we did a good job on Capella and still lost. LONG series. |

I agree with Dave Atlanta played great and we didn't so when Randle gets going we should be fine.

Good points here about Mitch and starting Burks, but I think starting Burks or Rose, as I’ve also seen suggested, winds up with them playing too many minutes as they are still needed by the second unit. I thought Taj did a great job though especially on the offensive boards, and Nerlens on defense with the shot blocking and intimidation. Wednesday is too long to wait for another game though, I need that heartbreaking tough loss defeat feeling to go away now!

Good points here about Mitch and starting Burks, but I think starting Burks or Rose, as I’ve also seen suggested, winds up with them playing too many minutes as they are still needed by the second unit. I thought Taj did a great job though especially on the offensive boards, and Nerlens on defense with the shot blocking and intimidation. Wednesday is too long to wait for another game though, I need that heartbreaking tough loss defeat feeling to go away now! It's weird we had to wait 3 days and other teams 2 days for their game 2. |

Well you showed me on Facebook what a “good teammate” Payton is when he’s not playing, but if he wants to stew in the corner that’s on him. Damn his feelings and let’s win this series!
