I'm seeing a return of big men. It seems more coaches are becoming less Dantoni driven toward 5 out and more conventional with a defensive minded big man. Thibs is driven with rim protection and I see more of that returning around the league.

Wilt. Russell. Thurmond. Bellamy. Beaty. Jabbar. Lanier. Willis. Walton. Malone. Cowens. Parish. Robinson. Olajuwan. Ewing. Shaq. Mourning. Duncan. These are the centers I grew up with and for awhile they were being replaced by good shooting power forwards. Now you have Embiid, Jokic, KAT at the top and guys like Gobert, Mitch, Capella, Adebayo, Nurkic, Ayton, Wood and Vucevic. The center has come back.
Great observation GG.

Great observation GG. Any mention of Thurmond makes me very happy. I like the game with centers clogging the lane. And when you have guys like Nerlens and Mitch that can also switch out on penetrators, a team is better served.
