On one hand, he might have the skill to be on someone's team perhaps, but rosters were simply set months ago at the trade deadline. He was expecting a callup two days ago, and the fact that the Warriors didn't consider it(the team whose G league team he played for) speaks volumes. There have been a few Asian players like Yao and Wang Zhizhi and the young player in Watanabe on the Raptors for example. But Lin always thinks the world revolves around him. Does he expect a call up now with the play in games starting? Maybe the Warriors with their whole season on the line should call him up and tell him to play 40 minutes and stop LeBron. Lin has a fundamental misunderstanding on how it all works. Teams in the playoffs have their teams set. Teams that are missing the playoffs have no use for an older player and are looking at the kids right now and jockeying for ping pong balls. We all know he’s hinting at it being because he’s Asian, but it’s not. Did anyone see the movie about the Asian basketball player called Boogie? I don’t know how accurate the movie reflects the feelings of the Asian community for Jeremy, but in the movie both the father and son despise Lin because they think he’s a religious zealot who gives all the credit to God and none to his Asian upbringing and he does nothing for the Asian community. Basically got rich and successful and forgot about them. He’s hinting at retirement here, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

If Lin did make it the Warriors roster he’d be bitching about playing backup to Curry and it was all because he’s Asian. 😎
He did play well in the G League. The G League. 😎 Meantime the Warriors had two young guards (Mannion and Poole) playing great ball. They were all about winning. Jeremy is all about whining. 😎

I think Lin would have signed with the Warriors but there was a clearance issue with FIBA/China. Not sure about Peele but Lin is still better than Mannion.

Lin chose the G League over playing in China so clearance was not an issue. Plainly Poole is playing lights out ball. Mannion? I'd rather have Payton but apparently he is doing something right and has been in the rotation. Lin was never offered a contract by the Warriors but plainly Lin thought he'd get one. I think he hung on to the Warriors option mainly because he's from Palo Alto and because of the large Asian community in the Bay Area.
