Initial reaction is we did ourselves a disservice by letting this game go into overtime.
Now we are tied in record with Miami and Atlanta but fall to 6. This is weird because we have won the season series with Atlanta so shouldn't we be in 5th instead??
Anyway my brain hurts from the mental mistakes even though I still love the team.
This offseason we need shooters at every position whether they start or not.

Jason, I spent the entire overtime wanting a win but MORE wanting Rose not to get hurt. He played the last 22+ minutes. Too much.

The one timeout called at the end and the play was for Randle to dribble around and chuck a shot? UGHHH was Fizdale on the bench? I knew it was over once we went to OT, Randle and Rose were exhausted and RJ was chucking bricks most of the game. Biggest issue I had was why did Thibs put Payton back in instead of Frank who with all the shit I give him, looked like a GOOD backup PG last night. incredible D, hitting 3's and made some nice passes.

He actually put back in RJ I felt instead of Frank. Or maybe I'm remembering wrong. I also don't think that was the play that Thibs drew up. He's too much of a tactician for that. And that play at the end where RJ threw up an airball, was actually for Rose and then Randle second but the Lakers forced the both of them out of the play. In overtime we should've had Frank instead of RJ on Horton Tucker and I don't think he makes that three. That loss bothered me especially because of the lack of execution in the final moments. Also not boxing out on that Matthews put back in the fourth, made me sick. I knew were going to lose after that because we had no shooters that were in the lineup or rather shot makers, and Rose and Randle were super gassed. |

i was shcoked they tied it up to get to OT and had the chance to win was great, justt bad execution, they were gassed. We really need a shooter and a ballhandler. We have some good parts to the team. Dont want Drummond after watching him last night. Not sold on Mitch, but a big BODY would have helped, being that Taj is 35? Nice to see Obi out there, but I think that Knox is the only one on the roster that can shoot, sitting on the bench. Hopefully Thibs is jedi mind tricking knox or he's gone.

That ugly Randle runner at the end of regulation- was there contact? Or just a wild shot trying to sell make believe contact? I didn't see it live I'm only watching it now and I can't tell.
Man RJ had a tough night, we should've won this one. Miami has a tough schedule down the stretch if milwaukee and philly dont rest guys. ATL had Washington again tonight with No Bradley Beal.. Knicks need these last 3.
