According to Woj it's a 4 year non guaranteed deal for 13.6 million total. Not per year but total. πππ That's amazing and welcome officially to the Knicks Luca:

Bye bye Elfrid.
I watched some of his video highlights. Me likee!!!
Luca Vildoza is an Argentinian combo guard. He is 6'3, 190 lb guard now playing in the Euroleague where last year he was the ACB Finals MVP. In the mold of Manu Gioboili and Pablo Priginoni. Not a great athlete but good enough and dirt strong. Very clever with the ball and gets to the rim with ease. Good shooter from range who can finish and also hit off the bounce. Decent playmaker but not a pure playmaker though he is smart and able to play pick and roll basketball while hitting open teammates. Fits in as a Swiss Army knife type player. Fits the Knicks philosophy of multiple playmakers on the floor simultaneously with nobody really the lead player. Solid defender. Tough as nails.
As stated before the Knicks used their cap room wisely and were able to grab a top guard before he hit free agency. If you look at his deal with the Knicks it is very, very cap friendly. Might even play this season but likely the Knicks want him for the rookie league and pre-season camp.
One last thought. I think this signing takes Lonzo Ball off the radar this summer and frankly that doesn't bother me at all.

He needs to work on his beard a bit.
Seriously though, this is very savvy GMing. Small but very wiry athletic and quick, great body control, can absorb contact and draw fouls. He has to be able to defend some, but we haven't been shown those clips (of course), just him on offense... which judging by the highlights against a JV league, he looked terrific, a real basketball player.
I was very very skeptical about Rose and his team-- he is making me a believer-- he has me convinced 80%, still have 20% doubts TBH. And I was disappointed with the Thibidoux hire. Boy was I ever so ever wrong about him. I got a little emotional just now.

βThe Luca Vildoza signing is a huge deal for the Knicks. The 25-year-old Argentinian PG has been one of the most coveted guards in Europe for some time. Excellent pull-up game, creative PnR passer, feisty defender. Brings the Argentinian spirit to the floor. Huge fan of his game.β - Mike Schmitz NBA draft analysis
I love this signing, but letβs pump the breaks a bit on this no Lonzo Ball conclusion. Lonzo is doing it at the NBA level and this kid has a lot to prove. I would think at this point they would see him as a backup to their future point guard, but things can change.

If you looked at the role that Campazzo played as the Nuggets carved us up, this is how Luca Vildoza plays. On or off the ball. So I can see a two point guard alignment with Rose and Luca. Or if we do go with Ball, Ball and Luca with RJ at the 3. Resigning Bullock anyway and probably moving on from Frank and Payton at this point.

I can do without seeing Frank, just bad reminder of that pick, Payton is just awful.
Burkes will go as well I guess if we keep Bullock.
Still think Knox can play in this league. He can shoot, D looks better, I hope we give him a chance, he's only 21. I thnk he's better than Toppin.

I agree with RX about Lonzo. I believe Lonzo remains very much in the picture for the Knicks this summer. Ive watched the videos of Vildoza and while he is savvy and seems to make the right plays, I question his athleticism in the NBA. Lonzo is a far superior athlete and defensively can neutralize other taller guards, I don't see Vildoza doing this.

Smart GM work. Had a bit of use it to get to league minimum cap space. He gets on roster and harper goes back to two way deal. A lot better than the "lets sign Lamar Odom after we search area crack houses".

Great signing.
As the old saying goes, you can't be too rich, too thin, or have too muchcap space

Kobi wanted him for the Lakers after watching him in 2019 Olympics.I hope the protocol is not too long so he can see some action.
