I love this young man's game. I really think that he is one of the most promising young players we have drafted in the last 15-20 years. And that includes KP to me.
He laid an egg his initial season and had two below average coaches that did nothing for him.
Enter Thibs a real coach, and RJ is probably the most efficient player going to the hole. He has let the game slow down for him.
Thank God the Knicks never gave up on him. Whether we hate Thibs rotations or not, we are lucky to have him.
To take essentially the same team that Fizdale and Miller had, minus a few changes, and to make them THE BEST, not one of but the best defensive team in he league is just wow!!
But I digress, I love RJs evolution and you'd be hard pressed to tell me 5 other players more efficient when going to the hole, THIS year.
Love the kid.

The improvement in his three point shot has made all the difference for him. Those great drives to the hoop are all set up by the fact that he’s now a threat to bury the three and they now have to guard him closely 25 feet from the basket. He has great quickness and he is so strong. Last night Julius took the team on his shoulders and Dallas threw everything they had at him in the fourth quarter and the Knicks desperately needed someone else to step up, and lately it’s been Burks, but without him last night it all came down to RJ and the man didn’t disappoint! Twenty years old? Excited for the even further growth over the next few seasons!
