Excellent. Perfectly serviceable center to spell Noel and Gibson. Thibs should like him as he is a defensive specialist. Plus he's a St. John's kid. His draft profile shows a big who is athletic and can shoot the ball some. Have no idea why he hasn't stuck with a NBA team because his attitude seems outstanding. I'd prefer this kid to Drummond or Cousins. Seriously.

Excellent? NO. Okay? YES. Better than playin Obi at center in an emergency?. Probably. Preferable to my man Boogie Probably Yes. Better than Drummond? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
But Drummond or any of the desired buyouts were very unlikely to come. Unlike most of the leftovers Pelle isnt sludge. And we do need a third center. So good signing.

I meant excellent because the Knicks didn't make a panic PR move. Signing Cousins or Drummond would have been a panic move. Waiting for a Whiteside buyout that may or may not happen while playing Noel and Taj way more minutes than they should play is also a bad move. Signing Pelle now was the smart move. Pelle fills a pressing need for now that is low cost and dispensable. As I stated Pelle is a SERVICEABLE center.

OK I understand that logic. LA likely had to promise Drummond that he would start. Knicks shouldn't do that and also shouldn't lie to the player.
