Ok they had Durant missing … again. I'm glad he didn’t choose the Knicks. But Irving was free to roam with Rose and Payton out and the need for a scoring PG to at least partially offset his point scoring. Ditto no Robinson for the Knicks- could have used his rim blocking as Noel seems to be slowing down with fatigue? Both Irving and Harden had free reign to the foul line and pumped up their lead to near 20. And the Nyets with better 3 point shooters were creaming the Knicks there as well. Harden had his normal setting up housing at the foul line to shoot 9 FTs.
But what happened- the Knicks held in and slowly cut the lead to 3 and won a jump ball. Randle goes to shoot a three and Irving gets a piece. Randle comes down with the ball and is called a travel. Jump ball at worst but the refs say no and Randal goes ballistic. Obi Toppin manages to cool him down a little and that likely saved a suspension.
I like the spirit of these Knicks . They really missed Payton and the others since they are generally playing short-handed against some teams like the Nyets. But at Philly tonight no Joel Embid. I can see the starters getting too much time on the court but when you have a chance to win like last night -go for it.

I feel what we really missed along with Motch was Rose. He's the point guard that had us sizzling before he caught COVID and was out. And honestly outside of him recently having a child, I kinda miss Rivers' presence.

Rose was a huge loss. Mitch would have been a big help. Taj played his ass off. Randle was amazing Barrett came back from a slow start, looked good IQ is our 3rd piece Frank is lost as usual, can’t hit shots, no feel for the game Bullock and Burke played excellent Noel looks tired Ill pass on Rivers Thibs needs to play Knox and Toppin more.
