“The Knicks have also explored the possibility of adding Drummond, and potentially offering him a multiyear deal as a free agent via buyout.” -Shams Charania
I know a lot of Knicks fans are down on this, but he’s the best rebounder in the game and can put the ball in the basket. I’ll be big time pissed to see him on the Nets. I’d offer them a second round pick or two for him to avoid him signing with the usual suspects.

I think rims win the chip if Drummond goes to Brooklyn.

However, the message this sends to Mitch who can score like Drummond can and actually defend like Drummond CAN'T might ruin the chemistry we do have. And then are we waiving Noel or something? To me the moment that Mitch gets back he has to start, to let him know we want him long term. At minimum if somehow we convince him to come here over Brooklyn we are basically saying we are starting him in any lineup. If no team wants to trade for him or if a second round pick is all Detroit got back for him, you have to know making a longterm commitment is a mistake. I hope he goes to the Clippers or Portland or something.
