Welp.... that was an ugly game but Randle still looked good. The Knicks did not have the energy on defense and they simply looked listless and disjointed on offense. Seven games in eleven days. And the tandem of Rose/IQ shot more shots than they made plays for others. Just one game of the last 5 where having two "scoring point guards" didn't look good. They need to find a balance but when you're tired it's easier to shoot than find teammates. Also worrisome: is it just me or are Rose's performances/contributions trending downward? Burks looked lousy.
Knicks get a nice long rest, don't play until Sunday, long home stand coming up. It'd be huge to win 3 out of those 4 games.

Seven games in 11 days is a lot. Nice point. I hadnt realized that. Burks doesn't seem very athletic and sometimes it really shows.

I wouldn't be mad if we replaced Burks with someone else to be honest. I appreciate his shooting but as you pointed he is not athletic some nights and it makes you want for someone else. I wonder if Knox can get back in the rotation. I miss seeing him out there in rotation minutes even though I know why he isn't. |

So the obvious question is: what is your take on Toppin? Too slow-footed for a three on defense, not enough footwork and handle on offense. Randle is the 4 if he can keep this up, something I am rooting for. I see redundancy and expendability with decent value in a trade for a genuine 3. Keeps Barrett in backcourt with minutes at the swingman if necessary. Toppin, Frank, Bullock for a true two-way 3 on the order of a Kyle Andersen type. A guy on his first non-rookie contract who is underutilized. Any candidates? |

I see the flaws you do, But he doesn't seem comfortable yet. We gave to give him time. Do wish he was currently more aggressive on the glass |
